Blue Devils Finish Off Knights, Finish Season Undefeated 9-0
On Saturday October 26, 2013 the Freshman Blue Devils travelled to Peoria to faced the undefeated Richwoods Knights. The Blue Devils took posession of the ball first and marched it down to the Richwoods 1 yard line. The Knights stopped the Blue Devils and took over posession of the ball. The Knights took the turnover and marched it down and scored on the Blue Devils to make the score 6-0 Richwoods. Six points would be all the points Richwoods could muster all day. After Richwoods kicked off it was all Blue Devils. The Devils controlled the line of scrimmage offensively and defensively the rest of the game. The Devils raced out to a 30-6 halftime lead. In the second half, the Blue Devils would score two more times to make the final score 42-6 Blue Devils. Coach Wildrick would like to congratulate the Devils on a fine season. On the season, the Blue Devils averaged 43.6 ppg offensively and only allowed 6.1 ppg defensively. Defense wins championships and this is what the 2013 edition of Blue Devil Freshman Football is all about. The future for Blue Deil football looks great!
Devils Race Past Streaks, Improve to 8-0
The Blue Devil Freshman football team travelled to Galesburg to take on the young Streaks on Saturday October 19, 2013 at Galesburg Van Dyke Field in Galesburg. The Devils raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead. The Devils dominated the game offensively and defensively. The Blue Devil defense came to play as they engineered their 3rd shutout of the season. After the final whistle blew, the Blue Devils won the game 41-0.With the win the Blue Devils won their second consecutive WB6 Freshman Conference Championship. The Blue Devils travel to Richwoods to battle the undefeated Knights next Saturday in Peoria. The Blue Devils are going for a perfect undefeated season.

Blue Devils Improve to 7-0, With 21-6 Win Over Moline
On Saturday October 12, 2013 the 5-1 Moline Maroons traveled to Quincy to face the undefeated Blue Devils. This was a classic battle of two good teams. The Devils scored first to make the score 7-0, but Moline was determined and they answered the Devil score with one of their own. The Maroons missed their two point conversion to make the score 7-6 Blue Devils. Six points was all the Maroons could muster against the Blue Devils stout defense all day. The Devils scored again in the second quarter to make the halftime score 14-6 Devils. The third quarter was all defense for both teams. In the fourth quarter the Blue Devil Express got the wheels rolling on the ground and found the endzone to make the final score 21-6. Coach Wildrick credits Moline, they were a physical, well coached team. The Blue Devils will attempt to win their second consecutive undefeated Western Big 6 Championship next Saturday at Galesburg's Van Dyke Field at 11:00 am.

Blue Devil Freshman Beat Lions 32-8, Improve to 6-0
On Saturday October 5, 2013 the Blue Devil Freshman football team put together a team effort to knock off the Central Lions in Peoria. Quincy, up until this game has not been challenged. Their closest game to date was a 40-8 win at PND in week 2. The Blue Devils lead the lions 18-8 at halftime. In the second half, the Blue Devils played a great half of football. The Devils scored twice in the second half to win the game 32-8. This was a tough, physical game for the Blue Devils, but in the second half the Devils played Quincy football. With the win, the Devils improved to 6-0 and they host the Moline Maroons next Saturday at 11 a.m at Flinn Stadium in Quincy.
Blue Devils Send Pioneers Packing 53-15, Improve to 5-0
On September 28, 2013 the Alleman Pioneers traveled to Quincy with hopes of knocking off the Undefeated Freshman Blue Devils. Alleman's hopes were dashed quickly when they found ot the Blue Devils meant business. The Blue Devils controlled the line of scrimmage, the backs ran hard and it was an overall team effort that lead to the win. Coach Wildrick is very proud of the team and this win is huge for our program. #BlueDevilPride. The Devils travel to Peoria to play the Central Lions next Saturday October 5, 2013.
Blue Devil Freshman Put Away Rams 55-0, Improve to 4-0
On Saturday September 21, 2012 the QHS Freshman football team traveled to face the Manual Rams. The Blue Devils made quick work of the Rams as they raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead. At the end of the game it was Blue Devils 55 and the Rams 0. The Blue Devils dominated both lines of scrimmage. This is the second shutout of the season for the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils host Alleman next Saturday September 28 at 10 a.m. at Quincy's beautiful Flinn Stadium.

Freshman Devils Crush Rocks 60-12
The Devils welcomed the Rocks from Rock Island into Flinn Stadium Saturday, September 14, 2013. The Rocks have always been a rival of the Blue Devils and this game is always a battle. The Devils won the toss and elected to play defense first. It did not take long for the Devils to show Rocky that today they meant business. The Devils defense stifled Rocky to a 3 and out on their first possession. Once the Blue Devils took possession of the ball, the Rocks had no chance. Football games are won at the line of scrimmage and today the Blue Devils lineman did the program proud by winning the battle at the line of scrimmage. The victory was a program victory. The future looks bright for Blue Devil Football. Through three game the Blue Devils are averaging 49.6 ppg offensively while only allowing 6.6 ppg defensively. The Blue Devils will travel to Peoria Manual on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Game time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in Peoria. Go Blue Devils!
Blue Devil Freshman Put Away Irish 40-8
On Saturday, September 7, 2013, the Blue Devils traveled to Peoria to take on the Notre Dame Irish. The Irish scored first, but it was all Blue Devils after that. Quincy held a 14-7 halftime lead. After halftime the Blue Devils showed the Irish they meant business. In the second half, the Blue Devils scored 26 unanswered points and held the Irish to Zero.The final score QHS 40 PND 8. Through two games the Blue Devils are averaging 44.5 ppg offensively and giving up and average of 4.0 ppg defensively. The coaching staff believes the foundation of a good football team is a solid defense. With this being said, the Blue Devils are meeting expectations. The Blue Devils will host the Rock Island Rocks next Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Flinn Stadium in Quincy.
QHS Freshman Shut Out United Township 49-0
On Saturday, August 31, 2013, the United Township Panthers visited Flinn Stadium with the hopes of knocking off the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils were determined from the start as they played great defense and displayed great offensive fire power. The score at halftime was QHS 37 and UTHS 0. The Blue Devils play next at Peoria Notre Dame on Saturday, October 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
